From Stockholm to Ludvika it takes about 4 hours, change to bus with Dalatrafik (http://www.dalatrafik.se/) till Fredriksberg. From Göteborg best connection is to go by train to Örebro or Karlstad and from there with bus.

There are flights from Stockholm to Dala Airport in Borlänge 100 km from Säfsen and to the airport in Hagfors 60 km. Planes from Stockholm and Copenhagen land in Karlstad 120 km. 
There are also regular flights from Stockholm, Malmö and Copenhagen to and from Örebro 130 km

The bus stops outside the mainbuilding "Hyttan" where you will find the reception. Please note that the skiing area is about 2.5 km from the holiday resort area.

From Stockholm it is best to drive towards Västerås and then continue on Road 66 towards Fagersta and Ludvika.

From southwestern Sweden you should take Road 26 towards [[Mora], past Kristinehamn and Filipstad. From this road there are signs for Fredriksberg Säfsen.

It is 270 km from Stockholm, 340 km from Göteborg and 590 km from Malmö. Wherever you come from, you should head for Fredriksberg in south-western Dalarna.
